Medical Risk Management

Europ Assistance South Africa’s Medical Risk Management services is manned by a team which includes 15 professional nurses, 5 specialist travel-assistance nurses and 10 travel-assistance case managers, 25 paramedics,13 medical-case managers and 10 medical-support staff, a medical director (24-hour standby) and a divisional manager. The service is supported by the Europ Assistance Group’s global network and infrastructure.

Our team provides out-of-hospital, in-hospital and emergency medical evacuation and repatriation services.

Travel Risk Management

Travel risk management services include referrals to:

• Appropriate authorities for lost passport or luggage
• Telephonic emergency interpreting or referrals to a local interpreter
• Referrals to a lawyer or arrangement of a bail bond
• Emergency travel services such as making reservations for an air ticket, accommodation due to evacuation, repatriation or hospitalization
• Return of minors following illness, accident or evacuation
• Document delivery to friends, relatives or business associates

Security Risk Management

Safe and secure business travel solutions, anywhere, anytime.

Security management services provide business travellers heading to unfamiliar and possibly volatile destinations with risk monitoring and alerting services. Countries and locations are monitored to identify threats at the earliest possible stage and warnings and alerts are issued when a member’s safety may be threatened.

Europ Assistance will, where necessary, facilitate emergency crisis response by activating local security resources and logistics to manage the member’s emergency evacuation.
