Newly appointed GM of Marketing sets a new standard for aggressive growth
2007/07/06
The newly appointed General Manager of Marketing of Europ Assistance South Africa, Cleoné Bakker, success stems from having her feet firmly on the ground, and plans that take on the grander scheme of Europ Assistance Worldwide.
She has embraced her position at the company where she is enthused by its vision for aggressive growth over the next few years.
Cleoné’s experience in the corporate business world, her knowledge in computer science, graphical information management systems and e-learning solutions coupled with her personal development in marketing and sales skills are veritable assets to any executive management team and Europ Assistance SA is proud to welcome her to its team.
Her new challenges and responsibilities will focus on ensuring the goals set by our Europ Assistance Worldwide, to become the largest and most successful assistance services business worldwide, are achieved. Successful marketing and communications strategies, customer satisfaction and management, and growing current business relationships while ensuring seamless implementation is where her attention is focussed. Negotiating and interacting with high profile clients, identifying and taking control of potential difficulties and monitoring world class service levels are part of her everyday responsibilities.
As GM of Marketing, another of her key focus areas is product development and she is currently excited about the launch of the proposed Integrated Employee Wellness Programme (IEWP). “The company has so much to offer the South African consumer, and I see this as an important product in our range that has far reaching positive results for those companies that make use of it,” says Cleoné.
“Imagine being able to prevent consequences rather than have to deal with them after the fact, imagine being able to stop the employee’s personal meltdown by intervening before it affects his work life and invariably your bottom line?” she asks.
The power of the Europ Assistance SA Integrated Employee Wellness Programme is that it looks at an employee as an individual with more than just a work life; intervenes at the onset of daily challenges, whether it be related to debt, ill health, abuse or any issues that may impact productivity. Cleoné and her committed team is finalising roll-out plans to take this valuable new product to market.
The success of growing business is hidden in the details and the attention to the personal needs of the client is imperative. Building strong relationships with existing clients and forming new relationships with potential partners and clients is where the true strength of one of Europ Assistance SA’s most dynamic new leaders lies.
